How to add classes

Once in Hokie Registration, select the term you wish to add classes to.

  1. Using the Search Criteria, search for a course you wish to add. Another video provides details on how to search for a course.
  2. Select a course from the Search Results panel where you may review course details. Select a specific course section and a button “add to cart” will appear
  3. Click add to cart and select the “primary cart. Click “ok”
  4. In Registration Options, select any options such as grade mode and credit hours. Note: always check with your advisor before altering these options
  5. Click “Save Changes”
  6. In the Cart Contents panel, ensure a blue shopping cart icon displays next to the course you are attempting to add and click “go to course registration”
  7. A green plus sign will appear next to courses you are attempting to add. Confirm the checkbox to the right of the course is selected only for courses you want to add
  8. Click “Submit Courses”
  9. If successful, green checkmark will appear with the text “this class has been added to your schedule”. If unsuccessful, a red x will appear with details explaining why the registration was unsuccessful.
