New water degree offers a wealth of career opportunities 

    At Virginia Tech and abroad, students gain unique perspectives through hands-on experiences with the help of the Virginia Water Resources Research Center.

Ongoing Initiatives

Director of University Honors

A national search is being conducted during the 2014-15 academic year for a director of the University Honors program. 

Two candidates were invited to campus for interviews in late February and early March. The community is welcome to attend each candidate's public presentation. The dates and locations are posted here.

General Education Revision

The General Education team continues its efforts to work towards reform of the current Curriculum for Liberal Education.

Student Experience Task Force

The Virginia Tech Student Experience Task Force is studying residential life, student centers, and dining and the role they will play at Virginia Tech in the future. The task force is co-chaired by Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs Rachel Holloway.
